Resource List Pages

Resource list pages display tables of your cloud resources across all connected provider accounts. These pages provide powerful tools for viewing, filtering, sorting, and managing your infrastructure resources like virtual machines, storage volumes, VPCs, and more.

Key Features:

  • View all resources of a specific type in one place
  • Filter and search through large resource collections
  • Sort by any column for easy organization
  • Select single or multiple resources for bulk operations
  • Customize which columns are displayed
  • Create new resources (for supported types)
  • Quick access to detailed resource information

Table of Contents

Main Section: Resource Table

The table displays your resources with the following features:

Table Header

  • Checkbox Column: Select/deselect all resources on the current page
  • Sortable Columns: Click column headers to sort (arrow icons indicate sortable columns)
  • Sort Direction: First click = ascending, second click = descending

Table Rows

  • Selection: Click the checkbox to select individual resources
  • Keyboard Support: Press Enter to select/deselect a focused row
  • Visual Feedback:
    • Selected rows have a light blue background
    • Rows highlight on hover
  • Double-Click: Opens the resource details page
  • Selection Counter: Shows “N selected” or “None selected”
  • Pagination Controls:
    • Rows per page: Choose 10, 25, 50, or 100 rows per page
    • Page navigation: Arrow buttons to move between pages
    • Row counter: Displays “X-Y of Z” (or “X-Y of more than Z” for large datasets)

Using Filters

Filters help you find specific resources quickly, especially when managing hundreds or thousands of resources across multiple accounts.

Opening the Filter Panel

  1. Click the Search (🔍) icon in the toolbar
  2. The filter panel appears below the toolbar

Building a Filter

Filters are built using three components:

  1. Select an Attribute - Choose which field to filter on

    • Examples: Name, Status, Region, Account, Created Date
  2. Choose an Operator - Select how to match values

    • Text fields: equals, contains, starts with, ends with
    • Numbers: equals, greater than, less than, between
    • Dates: before, after, between
    • Boolean: true/false
  3. Enter Value(s) - Provide the value to match

Multiple Filters

  • Add multiple conditions by clicking “Add Filter”
  • All conditions must match (AND logic)
  • Each filter narrows the results further

Filter Examples

Example 1: Find all running machines in a specific region

  • Filter 1: Status equals “running”
  • Filter 2: Region equals “us-east-1”

Example 2: Find resources created in the last 7 days

  • Filter: Created after “[7 days ago]”

Example 3: Find machines with “web” in the name

  • Filter: Name contains “web”

Applying and Removing Filters

  • Apply: Filters take effect immediately as you build them
  • Remove: Click the Search Off (🔍❌) icon to clear all filters

Tip: When working with large resource collections, use filters before scrolling through pages to improve performance.

Sorting Resources

Sort resources to organize them by any column:

How to Sort

  1. Click a column header - Columns with sort icons are sortable
  2. First click: Sorts ascending (A-Z, 0-9, oldest-newest)
  3. Second click: Sorts descending (Z-A, 9-0, newest-oldest)

Sort Indicators

  • Active column: Shows an arrow indicating direction
  • Arrow up (▲): Ascending order
  • Arrow down (▼): Descending order

Sort Persistence

Your sort preferences are saved and will persist:

  • When navigating to other pages and back
  • Across browser sessions
  • Until you change the sort order

Selecting Resources

Select resources to perform actions like viewing details or deleting.

Selection Methods

Single Selection:

  • Click the checkbox next to a resource
  • Or click anywhere on the row (not on links)

Multiple Selection:

  • Click checkboxes for multiple resources
  • Hold Ctrl (Windows/Linux) or Cmd (Mac) and click

Select All on Page:

  • Click the checkbox in the table header
  • Selects all resources on the current page only

Deselect All:

  • Click the header checkbox again when all are selected
  • Or click individual checkboxes to deselect

Selection Behavior

  • Persists across pages: Your selection stays even when you navigate to different pages
  • Indeterminate state: Header checkbox shows a dash (—) when some but not all rows are selected
  • Visual feedback: Selected rows have a light blue background
  • Counter: Footer shows “N selected”

Working with Selected Resources

Once resources are selected:

  • View Details: Select one resource, click the Open Details button
  • Delete: Select one or more resources, click the Delete button
  • Clear Selection: Click the checkboxes again or select other resources

Pagination

Navigate through large collections of resources efficiently.

Pagination Controls

Located in the table footer:

Rows per Page:

  • Choose: 10, 25, 50, or 100 rows
  • Your preference is saved for future visits
  • Larger page sizes may load slower

Page Navigation:

  • ◄ button: Go to previous page
  • ► button: Go to next page
  • Page counter: Shows current position (e.g., “1-10 of 150”)

Pagination Tips

  • Large datasets: Use smaller page sizes (10-25) for faster loading
  • Finding resources: Use filters instead of paging through hundreds of results
  • Selection: Remember that “Select All” only selects the current page

Customizing Columns

Show or hide table columns based on your needs.

How to Customize

  1. Click the Attribute Selector (⚙️) icon in the toolbar
  2. A menu appears with all available columns
  3. Check columns to show, uncheck to hide
  4. Close the menu - changes apply immediately

Column Options

Available columns vary by resource type but typically include:

Common columns (all resource types):

  • Name/ID
  • Provider (AWS, DigitalOcean, Akamai, etc.)
  • Account
  • Region
  • Status
  • Created date

Resource-specific columns:

  • Machines: CPU count, Memory, IP addresses, Machine type
  • Block Storage: Size, Attached machine
  • VPCs: CIDR block, Subnets
  • Firewalls: Number of rules

Tips for Column Management

  • Hide unused columns to reduce horizontal scrolling
  • Show technical details when troubleshooting
  • Keep name and status visible for quick identification

Loading States

Visual indicators help you understand when data is loading or unavailable.

Loading Indicators

  • Skeleton rows: Appear while fetching resources
  • Disabled controls: Buttons gray out during operations
  • Empty state: “No resources to display” when no results match

Performance Considerations

Resource caching:

  • Resources are cached in your browser for faster navigation
  • Cache updates automatically when resources change
  • Use the Reload button to force a fresh fetch

When loading is slow:

  • Reduce page size (e.g., from 100 to 25 rows)
  • Apply filters to narrow results
  • Check your internet connection
  • Some cloud providers may respond slowly

  • Active filters exclude all resources
  • Resources are still loading (wait a moment)

What to do:

  • Check if filters are active (remove them if needed)
  • Click Reload to refresh
  • Create your first resource using the Create button

“You have not added any accounts”

Why you see this:

  • No cloud provider accounts are connected

Troubleshooting

Resources not appearing

Possible causes:

  • Active filters are hiding resources
  • Resources not yet loaded (wait a moment)
  • No accounts added or account credentials invalid

Solutions:

  1. Remove filters by clicking the Search Off button
  2. Click Reload to refresh
  3. Check that accounts are properly configured

Page loads slowly

Solutions:

  1. Reduce rows per page (e.g., use 25 instead of 100)
  2. Apply filters to narrow results
  3. Check internet connection speed
  4. Some cloud providers may respond slowly during peak times

Selection not working

Check:

  • You’re clicking the checkbox or row (not a link)
  • The page isn’t in the middle of loading
  • No actions are currently running (check for disabled state)

Can’t find the resource you need

Try:

  1. Use filters with “contains” operator for partial matches
  2. Sort by different columns
  3. Check if you’re looking at the right resource type
  4. Verify the resource exists in your cloud provider console
